Born in Seoul (Korea.) Raised in Philadelphia (Soul) and I’ve lived in Los Angeles for the last 12 years.
What part of town do you live in and what are your favorite activities in your neighborhood to do with your kids?
We live in Mt. Washington. Our favorite activities are playing in the water features in the Kid’s section of Huntington Gardens, sitting in the grass at the South Pasadena Farmer’s Market eating Mama Musubi and watching the Bubble Man, going to HomeState Highland Park for delicious tacos and strolling the LA Zoo.

One son, Dylan Lightning White age 1.5 years.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I was a contestant and I won on the first season of Double Dare.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
I have my own boutique artist management and consulting firm, I’m co-executive producer of a very exciting kid’s TV show that’s currently in development and I’m a freelance writer.
What has been your biggest struggle as a working mom?
Since I work from home and for myself, my biggest struggle is definitely time management and finding ways to compartmentalize work and family duties. I tend to try to multi-task and end up only getting things half done or looking at my computer/phone when I should be more focused on my son. I really don’t want him to grow up thinking I wasn’t fully present when I was with him, so it’s a constant struggle.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Since neither my husband nor I have any family that resides in Los Angeles, community friends are our local family and without them, we’d be lost. To me, it’s super important for Dylan to grow up surrounded by peers, play dates and the outdoors. We’re so grateful that LA is such a wonderful place to raise children. There are so many fun activities, many of them free, that families can take advantage of. Parks, splash pads, farmer’s markets, beaches, hiking trails. Los Angeles is one giant playground!
